MOTORSPORTS | Karna Kadur surges to South India Rally victory despite turbo failure

Karna Kadur (along with co-driver Kumar Ramaswamy) of Arka Motorsports survived a turbo failure and surged to victory in the 49th South India Rally, organised by the Madras Motor Sports Club, at the Madras International Circuit, here on Sunday. Kadur’s arch-rival, Gaurav Gill, retired with a mechanical problem.

Kadur, Ramaswamy win APRC Round 2 and INRC opener at Madras International Circuit

Karna Kadur of Bengaluru, along with co-driver Kumar Ramaswamy from Coimbatore of Arka Motorsports, overcame a turbo failure to win the 49th South India Rally at the Madras International Circuit on Sunday. The event was organized by the Madras Motor Sports Club. His main competitor, Gaurav Gill, retired due to a mechanical issue.

Kadur comes up with a fine drive, extends lead over Gill

Karna Kadur and co-driver Kumar Ramaswamy (Arka Motorsports) came up with a drive to remember as he opened a 22-second lead over legendary Gaurav Gill (Srikanth GM) from Delhi and topped the 49th South India Rally at the Madras International Circuit here on Saturday. With four more Special Stages to be run on Sunday and a sizeable lead, Kadur is within striking distance of the title.
